The shadows under my eyes seemed to get a dose of sunlight each morning thanks to True Match. Among other liquid concealers, it won me over with its creamy texture, instant coverage, and easy blendability. For the past few years, I have been faithful to L’Oreal True Match Super-Blendable Concealer as my go-to under-eye circle eraser. I could probably survive on those two products alone. Under-eye concealer is as essential to my morning makeup routine as mascara. While I find that most drugstore moisturizers can’t measure up to their premium counterparts, I think that many low-end makeup products can rival more expensive versions. Five minutes later, I was walking out of the store with two new purchases: Almay Clear Complexion Concealer (an old favorite) and Almay Smart Shade SPF 20 Anti-Aging Concealer. I noticed a flurry of “Buy one, get one 50% off” stickers in the Almay section, and so naturally, I took the bait. The other day I wandered into CVS to beat the stubborn heat, and a few minutes of aimless wandering led me down the makeup aisle. 2019 9(3):348-359.Just when it seemed that fall had taken over for good, summer came back for more, bringing with it runny makeup and shiny faces. You want your foundation to look like your skin, but better, so remember to keep that in mind. Something in the middle-ground, like a natural finish, will help achieve the most flattering results. Sometimes luminous finishes can be too glowy and matte finishes can be too dry for more mature skin. You'll also want to stay away from anything powder-based for the same reason, since it'll highlight lines instead of conceal. It'll help smooth all of those itty-bitty lines and keep your skin looking it's best. Thicker foundations may end up highlighting lines and pores even more, so it's best to opt for a thinner and lighter texture. Keep reading to learn more about the best anti-aging foundations for a flawless complexion. We conducted hours of research on the best anti-aging foundations, evaluating each formula on coverage and finish, as well as taking into account the active ingredients that help deliver youth-boosting benefits to skin. Also nice? Anti-aging foundations tend to be much more hydrating, meaning they won’t settle into fine lines or wrinkles, but will create the appearance of plumper, glowing skin, notes celebrity makeup artist Todd Harris. While they won’t necessarily totally replace a straight-up anti-aging skincare staple (like a retinoid serum), anti-aging foundations are a great way to get a little extra boost from your makeup. As the category name suggests, these complexion enhancers offer all the same benefits of traditional foundations-coverage to even out skin tone and minimize the look of imperfections-but with the added benefit of simultaneously delivering youth-boosting ingredients to make your skin look better in the long-run, too. One of our favorite types of multi-tasking products is a good anti-aging foundation. They save not only time, but also precious space in your makeup bag or bathroom drawer, not to mention are a great way to ensure you’re getting the most out of your beauty purchases. There are few things we like more in the beauty world than multi-tasking products.

Joomla Flip Countdown Timer is a Joomla module to add a countdown timer to showcase upcoming events, important achievements, special offers, a coming soon page, and more. The team aims to have that feature ready near November 10. Rather than typical backwards compatibility, the game is in the process of being fully optimized and built for the next generation of consoles. With the November update, the developers at Obsidian Entertainment expect Grounded to be entirely next-gen console ready. Still, this option can be a good place for a secondary base and a new chance for players to show off their building skill. Of course, building near or on the water won't be as safe as it used to be, now that the Diving Bell Spiders inhabit the area and can attack. There are two new base-building features coming to the game: buoys and floating foundations. Rather than simply exploring the pond, players can now build their bases and live there. Players can steal oxygen from the Diving Bell Spiders' nests to avoid having to come up as often for air, but this can attract unwanted attention. They make their nests by moving to the surface to create bubbles, then drag the air pockets back underwater. This is the first spider in Grounded to ever have the ability to swim. Water Fleas make a return and will attack the player while they swim, but far more dangerous and concerning is the Diving Bell Spider. In addition, there are two new hostile creatures introduced to the pond. Some of the new craftable items include Flippers, an Underwater Lantern that won't go out, a Pebblet dagger that works well for fighting in water, a Rebreather that offers more seconds of oxygen, a Diving mask to help players travel to the hidden depths of this new location, and Koi scale armor. Players will also need to attack these creatures to get new crafting resources and craft new equipment that will make underwater exploration easier. These are two non-hostile creatures players can swim alongside and follow into the depths. Players can also find Tadpoles and Water Boatman bugs in the pond. So I'm actually quite confused at the fact that Zotero is offered as a free alternative to EndNote, unless the EndNote that I've used is some weird dated inferior version. Two weeks later most of them were using it. Eventually I told some of my own students that I use Zotero and to give it a go even though we're not supposed to endorse other software. I tried it myself - one of the worst user experiences imaginable, and I could totally understand why even doing references by hand is preferable. It turns out the problem was EndNote all along. Nope, even with the tutorials there was almost no uptake. The university even ran tutorials to show them how to set it up, add citations, and export the references, thinking maybe the students didn't understand the value of bibliography management software. My university offers EndNote (plus Web of Science and the Clarivate stack) for free for students and many of them don't use it - they'd rather manually manage the bibliography in their Word documents. >Zotero can do anything EndNote can do, is Open Source, and with that won't drive your PI up the wall with yet another expense. Unless you need Apple Pages support, which Apple keeps to itself and only sells for mighty moolah to a select few, Zotero can do anything EndNote can do, is Open Source, and with that won't drive your PI up the wall with yet another expense. I tend to keep my notes on papers in Zotero, attached to the paper, but export them for filing in Obsidian (which I then feed into MkDocs for our work group's large repo). The latest beta also adds full Markdown export for Notes. That way I can click a button in my browser and have the citation ready in my LaTeX editor, Word, or Obsidian ( ) within seconds. In short, everything I save into a specific folder in my library gets exported as a. Mendeley went full on Evil, and Papers for Mac is Mac only, closed source, and missing dozens of functionalities that are absolutely a must have in academic writing and research.Īn absolute must have is BetterBibTex ( ), which adds better Citekey management and, my personal highlight, "export on add" functionality. We argue that content moderation is an insufficient frame to understand the regulation of harmful communities real change requires addressing the underlying cultural norms rather than focusing on individual pieces of content.Zotero is, if you're not in the market for a closed source silo like EndNote, the only game left in town. Our analysis suggests that the threat of prohibition alone is unlikely to be sufficient to drive cultural change in problematic subreddits. We examine discourse about moderation to better understand the role of moderation teams in maintaining and changing social norms in their communities and to examine the interaction between these norms and both sitewide and subreddit-specific rules. This paper aims to improve understanding about how problematic norms are contested in (partially-) decentralised systems of content moderation. In this paper, we focus on the interaction between formal rules and social norms in incel and related subreddits. After ongoing criticism and media attention about harmful behaviour of incels both on and off the platform, Reddit imposed escalating sanctions and ultimately banned the most visible of these subreddits over a period of several years. Incels-an internet subculture that ascribes to deeply misogynistic beliefs-grew in visibility when they developed subreddits on Reddit. As a platform that relies heavily on volunteer moderators to self-govern the subreddits (Matias 2016), Reddit has been criticised for failing to adequately enforce its site-wide rules (Gillespie 2018). The social news website Reddit has a long history of hosting communities (‘subreddits’) that advocate or encourage white supremacy (Gillespie 2018), disparagement of minority groups (Topinka 2017), and violence against women (Massanari 2017).
